Pat Miner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her Master of Social Work degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and has worked in this field for twenty-nine years. According to Pat, her Social Work career has provided her the opportunity to work in various areas of this field.
She originally started working in a small Community Mental Center and then eventually went on to open her own private practice. In 1997 she made a life-changing decision to move to Arizona, to get out of the cold, long, dreary, and sunless winters of Michigan.
Upon relocating to Arizona, Pat worked for several different agencies and roles. She originally took a position with The Verde Valley Sanctuary to help victims of domestic violence. Following that, she worked with Well Woman Healthcheck Program. Pat then went on to work for Yavapai College as an Academic Advisor & Counselor, and adjunct instructor.
Pat began working as a full-time mental health therapist in 2016 at a local facility. Most of her work involved specializing in drug addiction and doing psychoeducational groups for three years, which in her own words, she dearly loved. In 2019, Pat began counseling at Community Mental Health Center of Yavapai in Cottonwood.
“I’ve only been here for a few years,” says Pat, “But I truly enjoy the opportunity I have to work with such an outstanding team!”
We’re grateful to have Pat as an integral member of our Behavioral Health Team. Throughout the year, you will find Pat doing anything she can to not only help her clients, but also everything she can to create a positive work environment for the entire clinic.
