Behavioral Health

Community Health Center of Yavapai (CHCY) wants you to know that help is available if you or someone you know is experiencing mental distress during the COVID-19 pandemic. Social distancing rules and the state’s stay-at-home orders affect everyone differently; however, many are struggling with similar feelings of loneliness, fear and worry. It’s important to stay connected with family and friends in these times and keep those lines of communication open.

If you or someone you know is experiencing syptoms such as heightened anxiety and or depression, please do not hesitate to seek counseling services. Community Health Center of Yavapai offers Behavioral Health Counseling for both children and adults either by telehealth or in-person depending on the client’s circumstances or preferences. Clients do not need to be established with a provider to receive counseling services. CHCY accepts most major insurance, Medicare and AHCCCS, and offers a sliding fee discount program to those who qualify based on income. Individuals who qualify for the sliding fee program pay no more than $5 for their first counseling appointment and no more than $25 for follow-up counseling appointments. In most cases, CHCY can schedule same-day or next day appointments. Please call 928-583-1000 to schedule.

Eligible patients of CHCY may receive:

  1. Referrals for individual, outpatient counseling for depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and substance abuse. For other substance abuse providers in Yavapai County visit: http://www.addicted.org/directory/category/yavapai-county.html.
