The Community Health Center of Yavapai and your insurance company (including Sliding Fee patients) encourage the continuation of your care through telehealth during the COVID-19 isolation. If you are a current patient, we will be contacting you to make appointments with your provider. If you are not a current patient we are gladly accepting new patients. These appointments are necessary to continue filling your medications as well as assess your current medical and mental status. A telehealth visit is billed and covered the same as a regular office visit. Camera/video is not necessary for most visits, only your phone.

Nos comunicaremos con usted para programar citas con su proveedor. Estas citas son necesarias para continuar surtiendo sus medicamentos, así como para evaluar su estado médico y mental. What is Telehealth, and how will it benefit you?

Telehealth visits are remote office visits that let you either video chat or speak with a Community Health Center of Yavapai provider by phone from the comfort of your home.

Telehealth allows our providers to order labs, write prescriptions, and refer you to specialists if required.

I'm self-isolating or in quarantine during coronavirus (COVID-19), can CHCY provide me with care?

Yes, we can provide you with compassionate, caring, and 'contact-less' care using Telehealth.

What are the benefits of Telehealth?

The primary benefits of Telehealth are that you do not have to travel, wait, or be exposed to contagious viruses at the doctor’s office, clinic, or urgent care. You can speak to a licensed, caring doctor or provider from the comfort of your own home or office.

Is Telehealth private?

Just like a face-to-face appointment, your telehealth visit will be private and confidential.

Will my insurance cover Telehealth sessions?

Most insurance companies will cover telehealth during the COVID-19 outbreak. A telehealth visit is an office visit – except you don’t have to come into the office– so it usually costs the same as an in-person visit! These appointments are billed to insurance in the same way as a traditional visit, so they are typically covered by your insurance identically to an office visit.

What if I have an issue that requires an in-person visit?

First we will schedule a Telehealth appointment for you and upon doing so, your pvoider will assess your situation make the determination of coming in-person for your office visit.

How do I schedule a telehealth call?

You can schedule a telehealth call or video chat the same way you schedule an in-person appointment by calling Community Health Center of Yavapai at 928-583-1000 in Prescott or 928-639-8132 in Cottonwood.
